Lee Maddeford and Joëlle Mauris first collaborated in 2019 for the creation of the musical performance “Il était deux fois, un Phoenix – Traversée d’une violence invisible” (Twice Upon a Time, a Phoenix – Journey Through an Invisible Violence). Since then, the two musicians have formed a duo blending jazz and classical music.

In 2020, they released “Mon Plus Bel Héritage”, an album consisting of nine duets for cello and piano composed by Lee Maddeford and eight songs sung by Joëlle Mauris.

In 2022, the artists recorded the album “Em”, made up of nine instrumental pieces.
