ECHO DEL TEMPO, contemporary ensemble

The premiere of the Echo del Tempo project in Versoix was a resounding success, both for its musical quality and for the intimate, welcoming atmosphere of the venue. The audience, fortunate enough to attend this first performance, was transported through three complementary musical worlds, ranging from contemporary music to reimagined classical works and original creations. Joëlle Mauris and Vincent Bossy combined technical mastery, emotional depth, and artistic rapport, offering a rare and memorable musical experience. An evening that marks the promising beginning of a project destined to take audiences far beyond Versoix.”

A hypnotic, rhythmic and sensual concert

**In the world of Echo del Tempo, Joëlle Mauris’ cello and Vincent Bossy’s piano resonate together, combining rhythmic precision with sensitive interpretation. The duo explores contemporary music of the 20th and 21st centuries, punctuated by pop influences and original compositions.

Driven by an evident artistic connection, the two musicians shine a light on major figures of musical modernity while giving an essential place to women composers and lesser-known works. Blending repetitive structures with bold arrangements, their music becomes an immersive journey conceived as a continuous flow.

Between captivating rhythms, vibrant contrasts and spiritual impulses, Echo del Tempo offers a unique sonic voyage—an invitation to lose one’s bearings in order to inhabit the present moment more fully.**

For the 2025 season, Compagnie vidARciTa commissioned composer Vincent Bossy to create an original 15-minute work for cello and piano.

Presentation of ScaleS for cello and piano by Vincent Bossy

ScaleS is a work currently being composed for cello and piano in five movements by Vincent Bossy. Exploring both the percussive and lyrical qualities of the two instruments, it draws inspiration from the rhythmic and melodic patterns of electronic and minimalist music, as well as harmonies rooted in jazz and post-Romantic traditions. Building bridges between eras and genres, the piece offers an experimental and contrasting journey into the rich sonic textures of cello and piano, moving between tension and contemplation.
